After being a member of Cleverley Mere for a number of years Jon Cook finally decided it was time to move on this season. As a farewell he booked himself a week on 'The Mere' and then promptly bagged the most saught after fish in the lake, Hendrix, at 42lbs +. Well done Jon.

Well done to my good friend Maximus on his capture of 'Geezers' at 44lbs. The Top Lake biggie fell to his ever reliable peperami and means that it only leaves 'Sherman' for Lloyd as he's already caught the Cleverley and Ladywell bigguns.

Lee Merritt has opened his account on The Top Lake with a brace of stunning linears both weighing 21lbs 8oz! One was on maggots and the other was on The Cell.
Well done mate, onwards and upwards!

Ed popped down to Boyton Cross yesterday (3rd sept) for a couple of hours' stalking and was rewarded with 'Flash' at 31lbs 12oz. He was using Tails Up bait and fished in Sure Thing.

Top bombing Eddy!

Joe Morgan popped down to Boyton Cross earlier this week to film Darrell Peck for CarpTV and whilst he was there he helped himself to the second biggest fish in the lake, 'Robert'. The stunning mirror weighend in at an all time high of 36lbs 12oz and looks certain to break the 40lbs barrier next year.

The weekend that has just passed saw the biggest fish in three of our lakes grace the bank! Cluster was out of Ladywell at 40lbs 4oz, Hendrix was out of Cleverley at 41lbs 14oz and Geezers was out of The Top Lake at 43lbs 5oz.

A huge well done to Alby on the capture of 'Geezers' at 43lbs 5oz from The Top Lake. Just goes to show that effort really does equal reward! Good angling mate.

The first fish of the year from The Top Lake fell to Del's rods this morning. It was 27lbs 12oz and looked fantastic in its winter colours.

The Quarry restocking is well under way with 24 fish being introduced so far. The smallest was 17lbs 12oz and there have been six fish over 27lbs, the largest of which weighed 31lbs 12oz.
I am hopeful that I would have introduced a total of forty fish by the end of the year and then more will follow in the spring.
